Take a good long look at that last panel because that is a good summary of what their relationship will be like.
A few of you were curious last update about Rei's size compared to Hammer! The answer is, yes, Rei is big. The reason is because when dragons shapeshift, they maintain the same mass throughout all their forms. In other words, they can't miraculously gain or lose weight. Because of this, dragons have a limit as to how big or how small they can transform, based on their natural size.
In this case, Rei has been condensed into the smallest possible human form for his mass. So while he's a lot taller than Hammer, he's currently the smallest he's ever been! You might've noticed Rei's hair is very big and poofy. It's not so much that his hair has gotten big but rather, Rei's body has shrunk (although he doesn't realize this yet) Little worldbuilding fun facts for you all!
