Hey everyone, there's another global strike going on from
February 18 – 25.
This time it's not just for Palestine, but for genocides currently occurring around the world. This includes Gaza, Sudan, Congo, Tigray, West Papua, Haiti, and Armenia. Unfortunately I am not yet caught up on information for what is occurring on regions outside of Palestine, so the links I'm providing below are focused mainly on Palestine. However
the BDS targets can help everyone.
Below is a tweet from the organiser, and again, not everyone can complete every item in these lists. The idea is to do what you can. A half done strike is better than no strike at all. Some might be able to avoid purchases and outside entertainment this week, others might be able to call off work or skip school or contact their government representatives, while others can put up signs or wear symbols in support of nations under attack. I can pause my updates for a week, so that's what I'm doing now.
Help Palestine from home:
Click to Help (Free click to donate the page's ad revenue to Palestine; refreshes daily)Buy an e-SIM for Gaza (with the option to exchange the receipt for an artist commission with the Cartoonist Co-op)Donate to the PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund, focusing on immediate and long-term relief)Donate to Care for Gaza (Single Paypal link in profile description, verified by multiple on-the-ground Palestinians)
Support and stay up to date with boycott targets from the BDS Movement
Regular updates will resume next week. Also I'm thinking in the future I'll try and stay on top of strike organisation (I only found out about this one a couple hours ago) so that I can post new pages a few days earlier next time. That way you'll hopefully get to know about the strikes in advance, and still enjoy an update!
Thanks for your understanding, and I hope you can find ways to
contribute in your daily life this week. Tell a friend if you can!
